Abstract

The effectiveness of communication in agricultural extension plays an important role as the main means of transferring information, technology, and skills to farmers. Clear, systematic, and empathetic communication encourages behavioral change and improves farmers' ability to manage their farms more efficiently. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of communication developed by agricultural extension workers in supporting increased rice production. The internship program was conducted for one month, from June 11 to July 11, in Sungai Selincah Village. Data collection methods included observation, interviews, active participation, document review, and literature study. The results showed that agricultural extension communication at the research site was effective, with an average score of 93.08. This effectiveness was reflected in the clear, participatory, and sustainable delivery of information, which bridged the gap between technology and agricultural practices. These findings confirmed that extension workers' communication skills contributed significantly to the application of appropriate rice cultivation techniques and had a positive impact on increasing rice productivity in Sungai Selincah Village.
